Love and family come in many beautiful forms, and we are proud to support the dreams of parenthood for our LGBTQIA+ community. Our practice offers compassionate, personalized fertility care for single individuals and couples, with a variety of reproductive options tailored to each unique journey.

1. Fertility Options for Lesbian Women

For single women or lesbian couples, there are several effective ways to build a family:

  • Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): Donor sperm is placed directly into the uterus during the fertile window to increase the chance of conception.
  • In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): Eggs from one partner can be fertilized with donor sperm to create embryos, which can then be implanted into the same partner or the other partner’s uterus (also called reciprocal IVF).
  • Donor Options: Sperm donors can be selected from partner agencies or patient-chosen sources.
  • Gestational Surrogacy: Available for women who cannot carry a pregnancy for medical or personal reasons.

2. Fertility Options for Gay Men

For single men or gay male couples, family building often involves:

  • Egg Donation: Eggs are provided by a donor chosen by the intended parent(s).
  • Gestational Surrogacy: The surrogate carries the pregnancy using embryos created with the intended father’s sperm (or donor sperm if needed) and the donor’s eggs.
  • Embryo Creation: Embryos can be created using sperm from one or both partners, allowing for shared biological parenthood.

3. Fertility Options for Transgender and Gender-Diverse Individuals or Couples

We provide inclusive, respectful care for transgender and gender-diverse patients, with options tailored to individual needs and transition timelines:

  • Fertility Preservation Before Transition: Egg, sperm, or embryo freezing before starting hormone therapy or undergoing gender-affirming surgery.
  • IUI or IVF After Transition: Using preserved or fresh gametes, donor sperm, donor eggs, or gestational surrogacy as needed.
  • Customized Planning: Each treatment plan is developed in close consultation with the patient to align with medical, emotional, and personal goals.

Our Commitment

We work closely with partner agencies for donor eggs, donor sperm, and gestational surrogacy, ensuring you have access to trusted resources and compassionate guidance at every stage of your journey.
